Return to Spirit (2008)

In a time when people are re-evaluating their material possession obsessions, comes a reminder of the importance of returning to a spiritual perspective. Anthony Terrezza’s 2nd CD, “Return To Spirit”, combines light jazz/fusion jazz and smooth vocals with soaring guitars and spirit-based messages.  Dan Siegel, one of the most respected and accomplished artists and pioneers in contemporary jazz, plays keys on 3 very special songs: Sister's (& Brothers), Message Calling and Thunder.  Some of the hottest drummers in Southern California help keep the groove: Jim Blair, Bryan Rosen & Franc Ortega.  Chris Daniels plays smokin' organ on Highway 111.

Like "Higher Ground", no auto-tuning was used in the production of "Return to Spirit".

Apologies to Franc Ortega who is listed as playing drums on Seventh Ray - but who actually played on the title cut: Return To Spirit.

REVIEWS:

Wow! "Return to Spirit" is the second CD from guitarist, bassist, vocalist, arranger, and producer Anthony Terrezza. My first and lasting impression is one of pure amazement. This CD belongs right up there with the very BEST in the Jazz Rock genre. Anthony is truly one of the most talented musicians walking this planet and he has assembled some of the finest musicians (Dan Siegel, Jim Blair, Gina Kessler, Bryan Rosen, Frank Ortega, and Chris Daniels) to create a work of art that will take your breath away. "Return to Spirit" is extremely well performed and arranged, the production first rate. Anthony’s sense of melody and composition is a joy to behold. His ability to seamlessly blend jazz, rock, and blues into songs that are so very RIGHT ON that you never tire of listening to them. Every listening puts me in such a good place and restores my faith in the GOOD that still exists in this all too often senseless and cruel world we live in. Steve Coppock, aka Elohlian Suoiverp of n.o.t.e.

Outer Space:

Tribute to Columbia Space Shuttle Astronauts!   An emotional instrumental song Anthony wrote as a tribute to honor the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia astronauts, who lost their lives on their way back to planet Earth.  The song was recorded in one session with no editing, just two days after that tragic event.

Reviews of Outer Space:
It was GREAT! Very reflective and captivating.  Excellent tones and sounds. Really captured a sense of patriotism and heroism on the behalf of the astronauts and the pride and sense of loss we feel as Americans. Mike W. Session Guitarist
